Art, History and Virtual Reality

Art Of Corner creates virtual museums based on the technique of photogrammetry. The realism of our devices is based on the reproduction of a real space thanks to hundreds of photographs. Virtual reality makes it possible to approach art and history in a totally innovative way.

The first VR projects for Culture were projects that sought to recreate a picture, a painting and let you walk inside. Two examples with those interpretive immersion of the paintings of Dali and Van Gogh : beyond a spectacular walk in the painting, this three-dimensional approach proposes an interpretation of the masterpieces of the painters : an atmosphere, a sound ambiance. A whole world recreated and completed around their universes. Progressively, animal, vegetable and spectral presences are implanted. Works by artists are added, multiplied and animated.

But our approach is different. It is oriented towards realism, much like archeology. Because archeology uses virtual reality to explain, contextualize, restore an object or place. Scientific rigor is paramount, and the rendering must be as close as possible to reality. The objective of virtual reality is then to bring a new perspective, a new dimension and to stimulate reflection.

Virtual reality allows us to approach our heritage from a different angle: immersion, restitution, interpretation, creation, the palette is rich and only needs to be exploited !
